Back in the Groove

It's been awhile since I've posted something, about a year ago..Time sure does fly.
Since the last post, I've moved from UT (which now, I SUPER miss..and kinda regret) back to California, with a brand new job, new friends and new home..

I work at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles/Beverly Hills..and it's interesting here..lotsa' ritzy people in this area.. haha.

I'm glad to be home with some family and friends, but I miss Utah a lot...I definitely took advantage of the beauty there (I know, I know Grace!), the super NICE people, the great job and good friends..waiting to see where life wants to take me next... =)

I also baked a lot of Christmas cookies this year...these were everyone's fav! Sugar cookies w/Candy Cane Hershey's Kiss Centers!

Preeti was pretty excited to open a 'pre-Christmas' gift..a stocking stuffer. It was a pink ring. =)

Big Changes

So..I've been pretty MIA from the 'blogging world' lately..buh. The end of the year was pretty hectic, as you can imagine. With work, Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE...It's especially hard and a lot more stressful when you have to travel to celebrate these holidays.

Just a brief update on the end of '09.

Thanksgiving--Flew back home to Vegas to celebrate with the fam. Mom and I went Black Friday shopping a tad later than normal this year, but we were at Old Navy by 2:30 AM. Preeti worked that day at 3am, so we all went together. :) It was definitely harder this year and not as fun, maybe I'm getting too old..? Buh.

Christmas--Flew back home to Vegas, again to celebrate with the fam. Christmas was fun fun!!! My favorite holiday! It was realllly nice to see everyone so excited when opening gifts..especially Mom with her new MP3 Player! I ended up getting everything I had asked for this year (thanks sis and rents!). Clothes, shoes, jewelery, a new Nano and Mystere Tickets (thanks sis!!!)! Show was awesome!

NYE--Stayed in Vegas and celebrated on the Strip! Nat, Mike and Andre flew in town and we all spent the week there! It was def. good times! =) There's too many pics to go thru right now, so I'll just post some later. :P

NOW...the good news! I got a job in Cali!!! WoooHOo!! FINALLY! I've been trying to get back home for about a year now...I love AMEX, for sure..and love the people I've met..but Utah is not for me. Being in a state where Family is primarily of focus..and having none here...it's hard...really hard. I've finally been blessed with the opportunity to work for Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA, as a Process Improvements Facilitator (Industrial Engineer, really) and I start on Feb. 22nd! I'm really excited to start with a new company, back home where I know I will be happy and be able to be myself..again.

Just a little bit AMAZING!!!

So..this is pretty much a random post..but, here it goes. First off, the Angel's AND Dodger's are really sucking right now..I've pretty much lost hope for a Freeway Series, and it sucks!

Today was a super super bad day...long/boring day at work after waking up late for work, sore from last night's Boot Camp, Burnt dinner, evaporated water (for the pasta) and suck!

However...this definitely brightened my day up..My friend Lisa is an AMAZING artist..like super Amazing! She has been drawing MJ for a long time now..and here's her newest piece...Happy Early Halloween!???!!! Can this be voted for best carving of the year!?!!

Seriously Lisa, you're just a little more than AMAZING!!

Autumn Beauty

As the storms are heading in, snow on the mountains and leaves changing colors...right now is definitely the peak of Utah's beauty! I love this time of year..it's definitely nice to see the change from season to season..where back in Cali, there wasn't much to see this time of year! =P

I went to Joanne's Craft Store a few weeks ago to pick up some new crafts, and ended up getting a few item's for the apartment..you can never be too festive, right?!

On a side note..it has really hit me how close the holiday season is coming. While shopping, it was nice to see snow, cold cold weather, PACKED craft stores with mom's buying their fabric, cinnamon scented pine cones...and lastly, peppermint mocha's from Starbucks. =)

An Exciting Visit

Andre came to visit me here this past weekend... =)

It's been a few months, so it was definitely an exciting time for me, shopping, planning and cooking. Though, things turned to be a little unexpected, it definately was a great weekend spent w/someone I love dearly. Through our prayers together this weekend, we know that everything will turn out how it's supposed to...With god and our love, everything will fall in place.

A YUMMY and Romantic Candle Light Dinner I made Friday Night...Paneer Makhani, tortillas & rice and a nice chilled glass of Pinot Grigio Wine..with some slow jams playing in the background, this was definately the best dinner we've had yet. =)

Another chill day spent w/Andre...Saturday morning I made some breakfast..Cinnamon French Toast (on Cinnamon bread from Great Harvest), Eggs w/homemade salsa, Turkey Bacon and some Funeral Potatoes. GO ME!!!

Another random shot..I thought was interesting..a portable radio w/channel options that they give on Sundays so you can hear the audio to the NFL games on TV...Pretty Cool!!
